Mommy got a new stove; Lainer got a new box! Who was more thankful? It's a toss up!
When the box was Laying down short way, so that she could crawl INTO it, Laine figured out how to get from the couch, and climb ONTO the top of the box, and then jump onto the couch. I know, CRAZY. She CLIMBS EVERYTHING!
So we put the box up tall way, and turned into a hideout. She loved that!
In other news, she is saying more words and shaking her head NO NO NO when you ask her things that require such a reply. She is also getting pretty good at putting on her own shoes. She has several pairs of sandals [ok, its genetic, she has like 20pairs of shoes and probably 7 pairs of sandals] that she can do all by herself---now if only we can get the matching it to the outfit part down. Several times now she has gone to the door to get them in the morning when she knew it was time to leave, and has chosen ANY which pair to put on. Well, we can't go out lookin' all a fool, so I switch them up before we hit the road.

Alaina is good at hiding in her fort. Today when Auntie M and I visited her, we knocked on the kitchen/garage door and entered a totally silent, seemingly empty house. After walking through the entire house we came back into the kitchen and asked if anyone was home. The reponse was her evil-sounding, machine gun laugh coming from her "hide-out". I never dreamed she could be quiet for that long!
